Cross border complex flood & forest fires prevention & management.
The overall SOLVE objective is to minimize the risks from forest fires (including Wild Urban Interface ones) and Floods (including flash and urban floods) for the Florina regional unit & Pelagonia region in a long-term basis and in a way that can be replicated in other cross border areas. That objective complies with thematic priority of program objective: 2.4 Prevention, mitigation and management of natural disasters, risks and hazards, and in fact serves it beyond the end of SOLVE's implementation period, through established capitalization mechanism and full engagement of fire brigade, forestry and civil protection services. The main objective consists of sub objectives.

Plan, elaborate, implement and evaluate two (2) large scale cross border exercises that will reflect SOLVE's implementation progress, test all identified challenges and help organization of such exercises in permanent basis.

Organize a series of training events for professionals and volunteers but also key players and media from both countries including joint training at centers of excellence.

Organize an awareness campaign to address entities and general public in order to establish a safety culture at the cross-border area
