The conference of the Decentralized Administration of Epirus – Western Macedonia and the Civil Protection Institute of the University of Western Macedonia, within the SOLVE project of the Interreg Cross-Border Program, was concluded with great participation and success on June 20, 2023.
The working meeting was about civil protection in our wider region, with an emphasis on cross-border forest fire and flood management actions.
During this meeting ALL the Agencies involved (Decentralized Administration – Mr. Panagiotis Boufounos, Ms. Marina Stefanou, Region – Vice-Regional Governor Thomas Manos, Mr. Vangelis Douflias, Municipalities, University, Fire Department – Commanders Society Tsalikis, Mavromatidis, Amanatidis, Miaoulis, Police – Commander Mr. Tsotsias, EKAV Mr. Savvas Giassas, Forestry Services – Ms. Tsiatoura, Mr. Tsimlinas, Heads of Civil Protection Sectors of Political Parties – Mr. Iosif Noti, Voluntary Organizations) had the opportunity to present and discuss their views on the above issues.
The event took place at the headquarters of the Civil Protection Institute on the 2nd floor of the former Administrative Office of the University of Western Macedonia – KTE Building in Koila Kozani.
