SOLVE PROJECT

On March 16, 2023, the 3rd coordination meeting of the project: Prevention and management of cross-border complex floods and forest fires – SOLVE was held in Bitola, organized by the Center for the Development of the Pelagonian Planning Region.

The main objective of the project is: To minimize the risks of forest fires and floods (including wild and urban) in the cross-border region.

Representatives of all project partners took part in the meeting:

The decentralized administration of the regions of Epirus and Western Macedonia from Greece, the University of Western Macedonia from Greece and the University of St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola.

The purpose of the meeting was to determine the status of the implementation of the project by each partner, as well as the organization and coordination of the project activities that follow in the coming period.

The project has been approved within the second open call from the NorthMacedonia-Greece Program for Cross-Border Cooperation with Greece 2014-2020, which is part of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance of the European Union and in which the Ministry of Local Self-Government also provides support.
